USA Patriot Act Global Certification

The official title of the USA PATRIOT Act is “Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001” which is signed into law by President Bush on October 26, 2001.

Pursuant to the USA PATRIOT ACT and final rules issued by the U.S. Treasure Department, financial institutions operating in the United States are required to obtain certain information from any “Foreign Bank” that maintains a correspondent account with it in the U.S.

As permitted by the final rules, the Taishin International Bank has executed a Global certification and Recertification for any Covered Financial Institution that believes it requires such certification from Taishin International Bank, Head Office or any of its Domestic and Foreign Branches. The certificate will be updated form time to time, as required, to reflect changes to the certificate.
